The Deputy Minister spoke about the importance of training and focused on the need for raising awareness for effective implementation of strategic environmental assessment. In the frames of the training, the issue of environmental impact of planning and spatial arrangements was discussed at the example of the resort of the resort of Marabel region,

It should be noted that the strategic environmental assessment system is a new instrument for Georgian legislation. Consequently, training is important for all parties involved in the strategic environmental assessment process. The training was held with the support of the United Nations Economic Commission (UNECE), the Government of the Czech Republic and the European Union. The two-day training will be hosted by international and national consultants of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. The representatives of local and regional municipalities and representatives of relevant ministries, along with representatives of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture and National Environment Agency, participated in the training.
